The National Assembly for Wales’s inaugural photography competition invites the public to send in their pictures of democracy in action in Wales. As long your photos illustrate the power we have as Welsh citizens to change our country, then the Assembly wants to see them. I'd like to encourage Rhondda photographers and organisations to enter the competition. It will be fascinating to see the images of democracy in action in the Rhondda they capture and I look forward to seeing their entries.
The closing date for entries to the competition is 31 August 2012. Entry is free, and people can submit up to five images. Participants are invited to submit their images of “Democracy in Action in Wales” at www.democracyinactioninwales.org or by joining the Democracy in Action Flickr group and adding images to that. The successful entry will win a digital SLR camera and a photography course run by Ffotogallery.
